The open office where I work is in a basement. The windows go to a lower level garden surrounded by a wall.
It has a very nice green grass and some plum trees and the fire stairs. We aren't allowed to go there... We can just watch the nature behind the window.
every fall a hare comes to visit and hangs out in the garden. Is a huge big male hare with brown hair that looks straight at us all day through his sleepy eyes.
He sits in the further side of the garden in a position where he can look all day to us.
Today I wondered while looking to the animal, what could he be thinking?
If you go to Wilhema, the Stuttgart Zoo (don't go is an awful Zoo. They just spent allot of money in a new Ape House where they receive Gorillas from all over the world that is basically all made of concrete. There are plants outside the cages... but none inside. The animals live in a colourless space with zero flora)...
So... If you go to the Wilhelma, the Stuttgart Zoo, the cages don't have metal grills but a window that separates the animal from the visitors.
Exactly like here... The hare is coming to the Zoo. A sad, working, human Zoo and watches us everyday through the window.
Sometimes he can see when we stop being shy and we come closer to the window giving him a chance to look at us better, while we sip a bit of tee or coffee and say:
- " What a nice thing to have a rabbit in our garden!"
